Other names for the parking brake plug could be Brake Actuator Plug or Brake Caliper Plug. This issue can be hard to diagnose because it does not create a standard P code. A basic OBD-II scanner may show no codes because it only reads engine P-codes. You need a scanner that can access Subaru’s ABS/VDC and electronic parking-brake modules to retrieve the actual C-code.
